    Avant 32": Soap Opera Effect!?

    Hi,

I've just bought an Avant 32" from my local dealer.
I only knew the Avant from catalogs and when I saw it 2 weeks before it was love at the 1st sight :-)

I had to buy it and now I'm enjoying the picture and soundquality. Wow!
I had a MX4500 before that died so there was a very good opportunity. I'm impressed by the Avant. Does every B&O TV sound that good??

But there's a little problem: The Avant shows some kind of "soap opera effect".

Is there any adjustment I can  make to get rid of this or do I have to live with this effect?
It's not very strong but I can see it sometimes during watching a DVD.

    Thanks!

Re: Avant 32": Soap Opera Effect!?

    Hi there,

I know what you mean. With our avant ( 32 DVD) we had the same problem - but there´s a possibility to solve: It´s a problem with the film mode.

Follow this guide to deactivate: (all with the Beo4 remote)

MENU --> SETUP --> 0 0 (sero sero) --> GO --> chose MONITOR --> PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS --> FILM MODE (<-- deactivate from AUTO or ACTIVATE)

Be careful - don´t change the other things, only the Film Mode.

Tell us, if the problem is solved!

    regards, Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

thanks for the tip but there's no option "Film Mode" in the service menu!?

I did exactly what you said and there are just many options in "Picture Adjustmens" with cryptical letters (shortcuts!?) and numbers (values!?) in this menu.

    Any other tip?
