Beosound 9000 Mk I scratching my CDs

    I own a Beosound 9000 Mk I.

The other day I start hearing a sound every time the CD sledge pass by a CD. Looking at the bottom of the CD  (Not the cover side) I could se that they got a straight scratch in the direction of the sledge movement. The CD clamp is obviously positioned apox. 1 mm to high. I have searched the internet to see if it is a know problem but haven't found any other reports.

I have tried to disassemble the CD mechanism to see if there is any screws which could adjust the height, but couldn't find any.

Does anyone know about this problem, or do you have any good idea how to solve it.

There is an adjustment for the "droop" or paralelism of the carriage.

I suggest you upgrade your membership to silver and download the service manual which has details of this adjustment.

Your local dealer could also arrange for this adjustment at minimal cost.

I'm having the same problem with a MK II...the underside of the CD has a straight line scratch right down the middle.

Can you please explain which steps I should perform in the service manual, it isn't very clear how to adjust the sledge.

    THANKS!
