Beolab 5 problem with digital CD

Hi there.  I have just bought a new in box pair of Beolab 5 and I have a problem.

I do not know if anyone could help me but I’ll try do describe the facts. Speakers are connected via Beocenter 2.

Radio is OK but when I’m listening a CD sometimes (after I increase(decrease) the volume) the right speakers has a strange sound for 1 -2 seconds : the driver for the medium frequencies is going to max and then is coming back to the original volume. This thing is happening only with 1 speaker!!!

Anyone has an idea what could be wrong?

    thanks

    all sold!

Sounds strange. Are you certain you have connected the digital IN and OUTs correctly. The Digital cable does not go to the LINE IN, but to the DIGITAL IN connection. And you must connect the daisy-chain properly to the next speaker.

Also, make certain you have the right Option setting - though I don't think having it incorrect should cause a problem such as what you are describing.

You can also try the speakers just with the Powerlink cable, to see if the problems persist.
