    BeoCenter 9300

    Dear All:

I am wondering if is possible to replace the sliding doors of the BC 9300?  The current unit has the matted metal ones.  I am not sure what they are made of.  They look like stainless steel perhaps aluminum.  Are replacement doors available through B&O?

Also can the matted doors be replaced with the shiny ones?

    Thank you,

    Dario

    dario,

all the doors on the bc9x00 series should be identical, just the differences in the finish.

from memory, so forgive me... but, you should have a few options for exchanging these. i will be happy to take a closer look this evening.

i believe that the door assembly (meaning both doors, tracks, mechanism, etc...) can be extracted complete. this would likely be the best bet as you would not be disturbing the stringing and you would avoid one of the greatest (dis)pleasures in these wonderful machines... restringing those doors!

The doors and centre panel are available as a complete set only, either matt or polished. Easy to replace without disturbing the stringing if you are careful.

Matt panels are more expensive than polished but are much harder wearing. They are interchangeable.

Takes me about 20 mins but I have done it in excess of 50 times!
