    Beosound 9000 TV Operated Problem

I've recently come into a Beosound 9000 which previously had a B&O TV connected to it. It had been operating fine for months but now when it turns on it says "TV Operated" and only parts of the controls seem to function.

I can switch from Radio to CD and fully control the radio channel selection and hear the radio. The volume control section doesn't work from the Beo9000 or the Beo4 remote. When I switch to the CD (while the CD is spinning and I can change CD's but only with the buttons to the right of each CD), I hear white noise with the CD's and still can't use any of the volume controls.

Does my Beo9000 think the TV is plugged in and controlling it?

    TIA, Greg

When BS9000 has no speaker connected it auto. change option to 0. As you hear white noise your Power link cable is maybe def.

your option should be 1, Press st.by and "list" the same time then list undtil option? then A.opt + 1

Re: Beosound 9000 TV Operated Problem

Hi I have the opposite problem. i have had a bs 9000 standalone, and have now purchased a beovision 4 50". My lab 1s are now connected directly to the beovision 4s control box (beosystem) and I have chaned the option on my tv to 2 and audio 9000 to 0. I have a masterlink connected directly between the 9000 and beosystem tv box ......but I cannot get any sound from the bs9000 or ge the remote to work with it anymore. I have obviously removed lab 1s directly connected from the 9000 and changed the option ....  ANY IDEAS ????

am i missing something here ?

Re: Beosound 9000 TV Operated Problem

Thanks guys, ive double checked everything and it still does not work ??

Have managed to get round the problem for now by plugging speaker cables (as well as from the Beovision 4 TV to the Lab 1s in socket 2 (loop socket)  anyway for now this gives me sound from both my TV and BS 9000 ....not ideal and not the correct setup but just a workaround for now until I figure out what is wrong in the setup.

thanks again for your detailed reply guys

Re: Beosound 9000 TV Operated Problem

    hi all,

i am moving forward w/ an addition to my primary residence and have found myself scratching my head a bit...

my current setup works fine and is:

in one room: avant32 ml'd to a bs9000. 4 speakers run from the avant. no speakers connected to the 9000.

    simple enough...

after construction, i intend to split the system up. that is: the avant and 4 speakers in one room. the bs9000 now w/ 2 speakers attached in another room. (down the line some beolink actives, but that is not the issue, yet.)

my question is: after reading the ml handbook, and trying the PCG -i think i am getting some conflicting info regarding option programming.

can anyone enlighten before i pick up a bottle?

    thanks in advance,
