Nothing involving the front panel is particularly easy in a
Beocenter 3300 but, having said that, it's possible to fix most things.
The button mechanics will need cleaning.
Take the button group apart, dust everything off and put it back together
or simply give it a little finger-help and exercise to get it going again.
Note the way the white center wing-thing transfers the release function from
one row of buttons to the other and the two release sliders it operates.
This is where you set in.
The power switch will probably also need taking apart and cleaning of its
contacts and mechanical parts. Could actually be the one blocking the whole thing
since it won't power up.
Watch out for the power switch parts, there's a spring inside the power switch
and things can fly out pretty quickly.
I like to open the switch inside a zipper bag for the same reason.
Note: Avoid using contact cleaner on the power switch. Some type(s) of contact cleaner agent
absorbs into the plastic, making it extremely brittle over a couple of weeks.
Take the things apart, clean, deoxit and dust off and put it back together.
The center piece will slide nicely in it's square cutout if you add a small amount of silicone grease.
