Hi,
I'm thinking to replace my beloved Bs2300 with BS4.
Any experience good/bad with Bs4 ?
And do you know how much is pre-owned unit ?
Thanks !

Hi Martin,
I'm using the BS4 for a year or 2 now and I'm very happy with it. We've used a BS2500 and the BS4 is certainly an improvement. I think it's a good looking thing hanging on our wall and it never skipped a beat and works like a charm. the SD card is a perfect solution in combination with our BS2's and supports internet-stuff as well.
dont know anything sensible to say about pre-owned prices though.

Hi Martin,
Perfect choice. I use it for almost a year and it's a great solution. Combined in my link with the Beoport it's absolutely amazing especially for my kids that hear their playlists all the time!!

Replaced my aging (and a bit iffy) BS9000 with the Beosound 4. Its high up on a cabinet out of the way of the kids ( its a little to easy to unbalance if you're a 2 year old). But only have good things to say about it.
I have the SD card loaded with the kids music and beoport for the N.Music from my mac.
Elegant, unobtrusive and does the job . Not sure on whether the DAB module in mine will need revisiting though as Aus have moved from trialing DAB to a rollout of DAB+.

My honest opinion is, that you will love it and will wonder how you put up with your BS2300! The sound quality is second to none, the design is fabulous, and it's easy and versatile to use. See if you can pick one up second-life
It will suit your BL8000 perfectly

I haven't decided yet..... as I said it is hard...
BS2300 is my first B&O, and it is really classic B&O.
I remember when I bought it I was look at him for an hour .... just siting and look ...
But my employees will be happy with BS2300....

Beosound 4 is a much better product. I used to have an ouverture, the BS4 is alot better quality and has a fantastic presence in the room. SO much easier to use and integrate.
I am however having a similar feeling with my BeoLab 4000's which i'm replacing with BeoLab 1's... i LOVE the 4000's and will not know what to do with them - was going to do the same thing and take them and have them playing in the shop i work at in the airport >

Yes i have bought them, simply awaiting delivery of them.
I must ask you, if it is your 2300 that you love, then why replace it??
I would reccommend the Beosound 3000 because it's the same design, just with masterlink and N.Music capability, but i cannot stress enough how much better the sound quality is for the beolabs from the BS4.
I've compared sound from both the dolby surround in the Beovision 3 and the Ouverture to the BS4, and it sounds ALOT better. It's a natural, clean, more open and detailed sound. Try before you buy.

Hi Nicola,
I have a bit of the same problem as you. I would love to upgrade to either a BS4 or BC2 , but I just love my 90ies beosystem 7000. Though I am sure the soundquality is probably better on the newer systems, I just can't bring myself to part with it. I totally blends into our interior and the BS4 just would stand out as a sore thumb.(or should I say a black brick...)
Making my decision easier is that I don't use the whole beoport/nmusic thing anymore ( I switched back to cd's and records.... ) as I found that I already spent to much time in front of a computer anyways. Also I do not particularly like the BS4 design that much, though I am still incredibly tempted by the Ouverture type of systems and the BS9000 on a design point of view.... even after all those years....nothing beats that interaction with the user.
I am glad that the BS2300 would move to another place where you still can enjoy it just as much.
