    Missing remote control

    Hello all,

I have recently purchased a Beomaster 5000 etc.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260377173453&mfe=sidebar

I am hoping and praying that it all works, as it needs to replace my poorly 2400-2...

It doesn't come with a master control panel, and there aren't any on ebay or the like at the moment. There is a MCP 5500 though- will that work? If not, is there any other MCP's that will or should I hold out for a MCP5000?

    Any advice gratefully received!

    Cheers,

The only remotes able to work that are the MCP5000 and Terminal 5000 (not Beolink 5000!). MCP5000's are commonly on sale, so keep on watching and you'll eventually find one.

    Re: Missing remote control

Unlike some of the later models you can access most of the necessary controls on the frop down panel.  From memory I think it is only the bass, treble, loudness and clock functions that are only available  on the MCP (ie the Terminal 5000 is best suited to use in another room with an MCL82).
