    Beomaster 5000 Tuning Fault

I have 2 Beomaster 5000s type 2322 both with the same fault. When searching for FM stations nothing is found above about 92MHz below this frequency both work fine. I have checked the tuning voltage and this ramps up as expexted during the search, any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated

Do you have an antenna connected? These beomasters really struggle to find stations with nothing acting as an ariel, even a bent wire coathanger will do the job.

I agree with Chris. Also, having two units with the exact same (non-standard) fault sounds strange, though
of course not impossible, I suppose.

    Re: Beomaster 5000 Tuning Fault

Is it working completely on the AM bands?

Can you direct it with the MCP to go to a fequency above 92 to find a radio station that you know exists eg Classic FM 100.3??

Use GOTO and then 1 0 0 3  on an MCP 5500 - I cannot remember how it works on an MCP 5000 as it is quite a few years since I had one (and even more since I first needed to tune it in!)

    Re: Beomaster 5000 Tuning Fault

I have not checked the AM side as I do not have a suitable aerial. I have swaped boards with a working 5000 and the fault is with the large top PCB. I have measured the tuning voltage and this increases as expexted and the frequency display covers the whole band but with both the faulty boards there is nothing received above about 92MHz
