I don't think they can be had new any more, but if you send a PM to Nobby on this forum there is a good chance that he will be able to sort you out with a second hand one.

Had the same problem finding speakers for an MX5500. Ended up with some 3" shielded speakers from Maplins. Had to cut them right down to the cones. Then cut away the inside of the TV where they go. Looks a bit Heath Robinson with the fret off. Once it's covered up though they sounded very good. Got another one to do this week some time.

    Hi,

I had the same problem with my LX2500.

I got new speakers from Radio & TV-Eksperten, Odense, Denmark: www.radioogtveksperten.dk

You will not find the speakers on the site, but you will have to call him.

I can't remember the price, but I will find out for you, if you are interested.

I bought some foam rings from Holland and then repaired them - they work perfectly now.  I can't remember the size off hand but should be able to dig out the details if you wish.....

    Brian.

Were they from Goodhifi? Very helpful to deal with my experience. Mine were too far gone for this, the previous owner had left them that the long the coils had gone.

Yes good hifi - we could not find an exact replacement but it was close enough for an older TV!!!

I will try to find the size I ordered (not sure what records I kept as I felt that the refoamed speakers would outlast the TV!)
