Does anyone know which CD player will work with a 2400 receiver?  Do you know what type of connection hookups are used? RCA?  I already have a 1900 cassette player/recorder and a B&O turntable hooked up properly.

Any CD player will work, really. The Beomaster 2400 has 5-pin DIN for the tape input as you will already know from your Beocord and the CD player, if not a B&O, will have 2xRCA plugs so a simple adapter RCA/DIN will have to be used.

The CD player will be using the same input (Tape) which makes it a matter of plugging in and out everytime you switch between tape and CD. Or you could get a DIN switch, that would make life easier.

Just one question about connecting different equipment to b & o amps:

 

Do they often have adjustable inputs? I had an old beomaster 3000, which i had connected to my computer. The inputs were very sensitive, so i had to make an pad in the connector to avoid distortion (i wanted to use full output from the sound card)

 when i disconnected the amp i saw i can adjust the inputs, if i just could have seen that before i builded the pad.

 

I have seen some questions about levels, have b & o the usual 0.775 V = 0 dB??  (and in at least some cases) 

 

In the case above, you can make an ugly mixer (if you don´t have to record to the tape) by putting a 10 K resistor in serial from each output, put them together in the other end, to the input of the mixer. It´s not a beautiful solution, but it´s cheap and it works. (one per channel of course)

I think it is just the older B&O amplifiers at the top of the range that had the ability toadjust input - ie Beomaster 3000 and Beolab 5000

Beomaster 4400 has input level adjustments as well - and I would suppose 4000 too, being between that and 3000 (and 3000-2).
