I am in UK. MX7000. It is tuned to our 5 main channels, and in right hand corner it shows B/G, which I believe denotes the UK format.

I want to tune channel 6 to take an RF signal from a remote VCR. When tuning, I get the picture, but no sound, just a hiss. And in the right hand corner, it shows I - an i . B&O tells me this denotes a continental country like Denmark. And also tells me I cannot change it.

It is definitely a UK TV. Anybody help, please: crandern@hotmail.com

PAL - I is what you need in the UK. B/G is the European format!

However you can change between these systems . With a Beolink 1000 select the channel you want - TV, 6 in this case. Press GO TO and you will have the tuning menu. Press SHIFT, 3 and you can then toggle between the different systems , B/G, I and L.
