    Stainless Steel?

Does anyone know the type and thickness of the stainless steel used on the BeoSound Overture?  And does anyone know were i could buy some from?

I’m looking at customizing my Overture and need to match the mental used by B&O, if anyone does know, that would be great!

    many thanks

Hello James, I am perplexed by your question and can't help but wonder where you are going with this? I used to own the Overture but couldn't tell you for definite what the thickness of the stainless steel was. I am not even sure it was stainless steel to begin with. What is it you want to buy ... more stainless steel ... or another Overture?

    Simon.

I assume you mean the polished front panels. They are in fact aluminium and they are available as spares from your B&O dealer.

    Re: Stainless Steel?

A recent posting (last 6 weeks maybe covered a customization of an ouverture with the tape area being covered by a steel/ali insert - think it was a Danish outfit - think the cost was less? than 100gbp - others may possess a more functional brain than i do!!

IT's anodised and polished aluminium, that I do know because of the sheer number of marked ones that I've peeled off!! What a b*lls aching job it is too.

I estimate the thickness to be 0.5mm or maybe slightly less. I have no means of measuring it accurately.

    Regards Graham
