    MENU - Options - 0 - 0 - GO (service menu - be careful) MONITOR - GO - Type number.

New in 2006 should be MK II.

it is a 9351 and that should MK 1 but it has the Projector Pin and the DVI-I.

What is the difference between MK1, 2 and 3 and how can you spot it apart from the number?

    Best regards Oliver

    • MKI vs MKII: MKII is HD Ready. You can convert MKI in MKII, adding a HD Ready Kit.
    • MKIII: Full HD screen and BeoSystem 3 as picture engine.

In the instructions it seems to say that if you have a DVI-I port on the TV it is HD Ready or maybe I missinterpret that? I also do not know wghat HD ready and Fall HD really means

Yes, there is a DVI-I input, but for computers. For the HD (high definition) signals you need to change the DVI-I input to a DVI-D input with HDCP to see HD signals. This is one of the features of the HD Ready Kit.

The diferences of HD Ready and (bad called) Full HD is the numbers of pixels of the screen:

    • HD Ready: 720/768 lines
    • Full HD: 1080 lines

The diferences in picture quality depends on the eye that look at Stick out tongue

so I guess that kit replaces the part where the DVI-I port sits and should not be overly complicated to swap? Where can you get such kit, how expensive is it and does it make sense to switch mk1 to mk2?

You can order it to a B&O dealer. The price in Spain is about 350 €...

I wouldn't say it's not so simple, there are quite a few chances to (majorly) screw things up inside the TV in the process of doing it. You do it at your own risk if you want to.
