Finaly: Great sounding MP3 (and other formats) Walkman that should have the B&O logo: Sony NWZ-X1000!

    - OLED-Display
    - Touchscreen
    - up to 32GB memory
    - digital noise cancelling with in-flight-adaptor!
    - wifi
    - physical controls for most used functions (volume, noise canceling, play/pause/skip)
    - s-master digital amplifier
    - ...

Sony walkman still sound far better than most other competitors on the market (incl. ipod, samsung players, philips, creative etc.) and I have high expectations for the new NWZ-X1000 and I can't wait to buy that thing!

    Have a look:

Design of this SONY Walkman is a real disaster, like it would be produced 10 years ago.

Oh, how suprising! The thing has a "home button". Ok, it´s only a half circle, but somehow it dimly remembers me.. And the housing looks like it´s made of crappy recycled plastic. brrr...

     Kind regards, beoberlin

Classic Sony. You here about the "features" and it sounds great. Then you look at it and hold it in your hand and it's a huge disappointment. It's been eight years now and they just can't make a useful competitor to the Zune let alone the iPod.

I do like it, but all those buttons EEEEK no. No thanks. And wi-..f..i? Whats that? When am i ever going to bother with that? Laughing This product is nothing like a B&o product. BS2 is still keeping me very happy.

I think it looks quite interesting and if Sony have tried on this one, it could sound fantastic. I look forward to a Walkmancentral write up!
