    BeoSound 5 & BeoSound 9000 together

Can BeoSound 5 and BeoSound function together in an integrated A/V setup? I have a BV7 32'' and a pair ob BL8000 and BL2 and BS9000 connected to the TV. If I would add BS5 how can I operate both BS5 and BS9000 with Beo4? Is this possible?

You can integrate a BS5/BM5 with another Beosound that is N.MUSIC compatible.

Not all Beosound 9000 are N.MUSIC compatible, so you would have to check if it is a MKIII. If not you may need you have the software updated.

I can be happy I have the MKIII version so it is compatible with BS5. Do you have any idea how BS9000 can be connected? Must BS9000 be connected to BeoMaster 5?

As this would be a fully integrated A/V system will perhaps both systems BS5&BS9000 be connected to BV7 with ML cable or how?

Good, they are all connected via ML.

    TV: V.Option 2

    BS9000: A.Option 0

On the BS5/BM5, there is an option to say that it is not an audio master (The BS9000 will be).

When using the remote the TV will send the Audio commands to the BS9000. For N.MUSIC and N.RADIO commands, the BS9000 will then call the BS5/BM5.

Options may vary if you decide to place these elements in different rooms.

This is not official from B&O but has been mentionned several times on this forum by some partcipants that are B&O dealers.

    You're right, Phil.

This really started with the BeoCenter 2 a few years back. Due to its integrated DVD function, many clients purchased it to sit in the same room with a 9000. Thanks to option programming it was not a problem.

With the BeoSound 5 there's even less conflict as none of the on-board sources overlap.
