    beovox x35

    hello

Can somebody tell me if it is good idea to buy Beovox x35 speakers. Now I have beomaster 1900 and I need some spekers.

I can't find any useful informations about them.

The problem: it's verydifficult to find some old B&O speakers in my country. (POLAND)

I can also buy Beovox MC 35.

Should I buy one of them or wait and try to find something else.

    i think i would wait...

s45 (the early rubber surround) is a great speaker for the 1900 and not very expensive!

Wouldn't go for either of these! Of course you don't have to use B&O speakers either. S45-2s are certainly the ones to look for if you want B&O though.

    Hello,

If you can wait and find something else I would as I think these are not up to the same standard as some of the other B&O passive speakers.

It really depends on the local market.  If they are not too dear then you might be able to sell them and replace them with something better at a later date.

How much are the X35 and how much are the MC35?

I agree completely, the X35's are really not very good at all and I have consigned a pair of MC35's to our shop floor at work.

    S45-2's are infinately better.

Both almost same price: something about 45-50 euro. I bought my beomaster 1900 for 55 euro so I think this speakres are quite expensive.

If you need something to enable you to use the BM1900 then I would choose the MC35s over the X35  - but if you can wait for something else I would not spend any money now.

Remember that you can of course use some non B&O speakers until you find some.

I had the Beovox X-35 as Beoworld said they were the original ones for the '80s Beosystem 2000 which I had.

I got a very nice pair but the sound was horrible. My parent's still going Beovox S45 from 1979 sounds way better. I ended up with some other non B&O speakers but keeping the X-35's to keep the system original.

I sold the 2000 system and the seller did not want the better/bigger non B&O speakers but the X-35s with the system. Both were avaible for sale.

Now its Beovox S80.2,S120 in pairs and M150 single pair type which are the bigger brothers. The S45 still sounds in that range. Very pleasent for the ears.
