Sorry guys, from the photos I don't really like it. I prefer the more retro look of the original stand, which also looks good in the aluminium option too.

This new stand is perhaps a bit dull comparet to the old one, but much more sellable (can you say that?). Perhaps the old one will become a collectors peice in time...

How does this one look from the side? Just a straight column or a little tilted like the old one? Anybody knows?

     Kind regards, beoberlin

Thsi new stand is really big step forward. It looks much better than the old one. But I don't understand why it is square, whereas all the other TV-stands are round...

In general I dislike TV's on stands and this is no exception. Looks like a DIY job. Sorry, not for me...

That is probably the reason; it is square because al others are round....

    Dear All:

Can someone please post of picture of the old on?

    How good is this TV?

Is it best used as a 'second' TV?

The old stand was perfectly proportioned and turned the tv into a sculpture, this one is proportioned for something else. Anyone have a side view?

Re: BeoVision 8-32 new floor stand

Just 1 image available on the Media Center, front view.

As for the "old" stand, i assume it will remain available ?

I like both types of stand, the first one indeed matches the BV8 perfectly,

but i can image that it is not to everyones taste,

so it seems like a good idea to also offer other types of stands.

Yes and no, Ignace. Would be interesting to know what the designer thinks of the new stand - there's a reason why Lewis created the original one ... but until we see a side-view, we're basically just spouting nonsense here.

Re: BeoVision 8-32 new floor stand

To me, the first photos seem to be of the 8-40 while the last in white could be the 8-26 or 8-32... The 8-40 can't get by with the old 8-32 stand (unless you bolt it to the floor).

Exactly - the dimensions will unbalance the stand, unless the foot is extended. But I wouldn't be surprised if the new stand has the same angle as the old one, and then there's really not much of a problem, or? You still get that elegant rake of the stand.
