I have a BM 7000 set up to light up Light-picture 1 at a specific time but when it does that my LC2 dims up after a couple a seconds (its not part of light-picture 1). So first my LC1 lights up (as it should be) then after 1-2 sec the LC2 also dims up. Am i missing something? Seems to me that the BM sends two diffrent light-commands. I have also a link-room but i have covered that link-eye in order to rule out any stray commands :P. 

When I use my Beolink 7000 to light up the driffent light-pictures everything work ok, also with my Beolink 5000 but as soon i let my BM7000 to control it via timer it also light my LC2 up. (have only one LC1 + one LC2 in mainroom with BM7000).

Funny... I experienced a similar problem at a friends place last week where LC2 and LC1 where in the same room.

Can you try disconnecting the LC1 completely from the mains and see how the LC2 are reacting.

I disconnected LC1 from mains completely and tested and still my LC2 lights up (wich is not part of lightpicture 1). I watched IR-transmission thru mobilephonecam and it looks like there are two short bursts of transmission and that result in LC1 to light up (wich is correct) then i can see no further transmission from BM but after 2 sec or so the LC2 lights up....  strange indeed.

Hmmm you are on something here, when i have LC1 disconnected and press LINK LIGHT 1 my LC2 lights up (similar to the strange behaviour i have) and if i press LIGHT 1 nothing happens (since LC1 is disconnected)..... why is it start to light with that command? and why is BM sending that in mainroom?

You may not know but you can use LIGHT commands to control lights in the current room, and you can use LINK LIGHT to control lights in all the rooms where a 2-way B&O device is.

When you press LINK LIGHT, the BM7000 gets the signal and transmit it through the MCL network. All the other TVs and IR eyes on the network will re-emit the signal in other rooms.

This is of course not used in modern Masterlink, 1 way devices :-(

What you need to know is that in fact you have 18 light pictures in the memory of a LC2: LIGHT 1 to LIGHT 9 and LINK LIGHT 1 to LINK LIGHT 9 as Global (=LINK) light pictures.

When programming the BM7000 to start Light picture at a certain time, it sends a Global command, a LINK LIGHT 1 in fact.

 So what you need to do is memorise the light picture you want to program as a LINK LIGHT 1 light picture.

Ok now it got very complicated... I know i can use LINK to control units in other rooms and that was why i had an idea that it maybe "leaked" IR-transmission from my link-room (see my first post).

In my Beolink 7000 wich i use to program the BM7000 i indeed have a "global"-feature where i can turn all lamps on or off. How do you mean that i need to memorise the light picture? Do i need to program the LC2 diffrently? Is it LINK LIGHT STORE 1 STORE ? (and then of course have LC2 turned off).

Why on earth would you have an LC2 in range of your Beomaster 7000, and yet not included in a light picture????
Don't forget that in a light picture, you can add a 'lamp' as off.
Switch your lamps to 'Light 1' then manually turn your LC2 to whatever you would like it to be, then store that as 'Light 1'

Well i have had a LC2 controling a single lamp via BM for a while now and since it was alone i never saw that it "misbehaved". However now in christmastime I installed a "season-lamp" in the window wich i hooked up to an old LC1 and when i tried to get that single LC1 to light up and stay lit during night i noticed that the LC2 also started to light.

The Link-command above worked tho so now only LC1 is lighting up as it supposed to during "Light 1".

Andy, I think the way you said I have done prior and the odd thing is that my LC2 started eventho i have stored "Light 1" as LC2 off.

Thanx for all the help and now it works as i want it too and it gotta be the LINK/GLOBAL feature in BM that is the cause, since the diffrent picture-settings worked ok via Beolink 7000 and 5000.
