    A8 vs Form2

I listen to my BS3 a lot using my A8s and I am very happy with the sound. But I was wondering, if the sound of the Form2 headphones was any different/ better. I'm sure some of you own them both and can compare.

(I listen to classical music most of the time, if this makes any difference)

Stick with the A8s. If you are after some really good headphones, you need to speak to Lee! He has some Grado headphones to die for. Of the B&O range, the Form 1s are the best and most comfortable. Not a patch on my Sennheisser HD600s though and the Grados are better still.

Interesting piece of trivia! (Could be useful for a future quiz!) The Form 1s are referred to as U80s in the service manual!

Probably because the U70 headphones were the ones before Form 1

I have both: form 2 is better... another world! the A8 are cool and very good sound but  nothing compared with form 2.

I have been told the opposite until now, as you can read above. Why is the Form2 better in your opinion?

I plan to have another listening test and review performed using the A8s, Form1, Form2, maybe U70s, and some upmarket headphones in the next month. We will be performing proper tests at the same time and will present the findings on site. I find Form 2s unsatisfying - but I also find them uncomfortable as I have a huge head!!Laughing So the pain might be affecting my judgment!!

    Re: A8 vs Form2

I prefere too Form 2 to A8, there are many reasons:

    - longer cable
    - less heating of the ear, I can move the position +/- 1cm when is too hot
    - better awareness of the ambient sound

and finally better sound from my point of view, I suppose that the surface of the membrane being bigger than in A8 does this difference?

Note: I used both A8 and Form 2 on BS2 and a MacBook Pro (anyway BS2 sounds better than Mac's soundcard)
