    Beoport issue

I need the expertise of somebody.

I have my beoport on my atic and my beosound 4 along with TV etc in the living room.

Beoport is set on option 6, BS4 option 0 and TV option 2. When I press on N.Music/N.Radio in the living room, I can hear everything, however at the same time, the sound can be heard also on my computer speakers in the attic.

Anyone has an idea of what is wrong or is it the 4.83 that hs some bugs?!?

    Best regards

    Re: Beoport issue

Do I take it you have split the output from your PC's soundcard? So that it goes to the speakers in the attic and to the Beoport. If so, I would expect it to do what it is doing at present. When you select N.Music or N.Radio sound will come out of your PC speakers and the speakers in the Living Room.

    Re: Beoport issue

    Hello Craig.

The cable goes from Beoport to the soundcard of the computer only. However I had this setup previously and faced no problems. Any ideas?

    Re: Beoport issue

I have connected my Beoport via the Speaker-Output of my soundcard. Therefore the internal speakers of my laptop are muted. If you are using the LineOut-Output of your soundcard, the internal speakers are usually not muted.

I wonder why the behaviour of your system changed if you only updated the software. Or did you also changed the cable connections to your PC perhaps? You don't have your PC-Speakers connected to the Beoport (Beolab speakers for PC), do you?

I am not sure, what a software-controlled mute command would do with the sound card. I bother that only the speaker out is muted. Line out should not be muted, so this should not be a possible reason. But to be sure, you can try what happens if you mute your system via the operation system of your PC.

From the computer's line out goes to Beoport's line in and I have also connected a pair of beolabs through powerlink on beoport.

If I'm not mistaken this should be the std connection?

When you are accessing N.Music/N.Radio in a link room: are the Beolab-Speakers connected to the Beoport switching on? Or do you only hear the sound from the PC speakers connected direclty to your PC (or internal PC speakers)? Or both?

    Re: Beoport issue

I can only hear the sound from the Beolabs since they are turned on when the computer is on from Beoport/PC (automatically is on), apart of course from the link room that I hear the music.

There are no internal speakers on the computer so the only source are the beolabs.
