Oh well it had to happen. I just finally picked up a Mint beogram 4000 (had others but not as nice so got rid). This isn't the one that's on ebay for £200+ I got mine for a LOT less. Apart from the SP15 that was broke on arrival (doh!) and a spare MMC4000 I had which only has sound on the right channel... I finallly got the deck working well with an MMC20£N, nicked off my Beocenter 7002. GREAT. The arm damper is a bit hit and miss but after a while it got better. So I started giving the deck a nice clean, confident that I'd made a killing. However, I disconnected the mains, but then connected it again after only about 5 sec, silly thing to do... SO, now the record size sensor bulb has blown (I think)? Or is this bulb protected by a fuse? The arm moves across the record fine and back again but obviously does not stop and lower as it can't sense a record. It was all working fine about 15 min ago (and for the last 37 years I'd bet too). Why me?
So, what to do. Fix or sell. Is there anyone who has bulbs on here of can help solve my sickening misfortune.
HELP!
