Beolab 2500 Speakers with Beocenter 9500

Hi, I recently purchased a pair of Beolab 2500 and actually heard them working before I took them home; they sounded great and were hooked up to a Beosound 3000.

I also recently purchased a Beocenter 9500 but never heard it play before it was shipped.

When I paired the two using the cables that came with the Beolabs I cannot get the sound to come out more than a wisper even at the highest setting.  Everything appears to be working fine on the BC 9500 so I think I must have installed them improperly or don't have the sound setting configured for the active speakers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no configuring to do on the 9500 so suggest that you try another set of speakers. Do ypu have a set of passives that you could try?

Have you tried a pair of headphones?

Could be that the line in/out dummy plug is missing? (a white disc shaped plug in the socket bay)

Is the LED colour changing to green on the speaker?

    Graham,

That's it!  I removed the dummy plug before setting it up and my wife had actually thrown it away.  I retrieved it after getting your response and it works great.

     Thanks for the quick reply!!
