    BM3000-2 Bass screen

    Hi,

anyone could point me to a source of a screen for  bass slider in Beomaster 3000-2?

Another thing. Do you have any hints on how to get off an unpleasant  odour of the thing? I think it is the wooden cover, which has a smell of mildew, probably because of prolonged storage in some damp storage. I tried to rub it with a mild winegar, and it helped some, but still there is some odour left, and it is irritating.

Do you mean the see-through bit, or the bit with Bass written on it.
I have a Bass slider for a BM 4000, but the bit with the word on is black.

    Poor me, never win owt!

I (or actually a friend of mine, who has dogs...) have had good results with a generic de-odour spray (try Tarjoustalo Wink). I wouldn't spray it directly on the electronics, and probably not on the parade surface of the wood, either. These sprays often can really neutralize the smell and not just replace it with another equally annoying one.

    Andy,

I mean both, I believe it's one unit for text part and the see-through part. So, I intepretted the maint manual. Anyway, mine is aluminium with black text on it, so yours won't fit.

    Thanks anyway!

Mika, I'll pay a visit to "Tarjoustalo", thanks for the tip!

The plastic screens are removable from the metal parts but the 4000 has a green line on the screen and the 3000 a red one!

Off on a slight tangent here - but it is interesting to note that the BM4401 has a red line like the 4400 which suggests to me that this was even more likely to be a very limited run - 2 known so far!
