    Text formatting problem on forum

I've noticed that, at some point since we've switched to the new Forum software, my posts will not format text properly. For example if I hit "return" to begin a new paragraph it will show up properly in the compose window but will not translate to the preview or the forum when I post. To compensate for long tightly packed sentences I've also tried to indent by adding more spaces between sentences but it won't show that either. I first thought it might be my Apple laptop and the Safari browser being buggy, but I've since noticed it does this with my office Mac, home iMac, iPhone and the Firefox browser as well. I've recently read that many other Apple users seem to be very pleased with the new forum so I'm assuming that I'm either having an isolated issue or that perhaps there is a something on my account that keeps my entries from coding properly. One thing I can do, however, is force the formatting by manually typing in /p...

...in formatting parenthesis. Any ideas what it could be?

Re: Text formatting problem on forum

    Apparently

              I spoke too soon

                         as I discovered the

Content editor in my profile settings were set to "Plain Text"

    Thanks.

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems preparing posts from your Mac.

I am writing this post using the latest version of Firefox and in my view firefox works better than Internet Explorer with the new forum.

So, as you say we must assuming some kind of setting issue and I suggest as a first step I will have a look at the HTML associated with your post. Perhaps when you next post, after you have finished writing, click the HTML button which opens the windows to see the HTML code and paste it underneath your text you have written.

    Regards Keith....
