    Problems with my Beosound 9000

    Hi all,

I have just bought a new Samsung 6 series 40" LCD tv. I have tried to connect it to my Beosound 9000 Via the A AUX Socket using a phono to 5 pin DIN adaptor but they won't work together, I know that the system uses an 8 pin DIN lead but i'm having trouble sourcing a suitable adaptor to convert it to the phono out leads on the back of the TV or Sky HD box.

     Any thoughts on this ????

    Thanks in advance

The 5-pin adaptor is the correct one, but do make certain that you are using the 7-pin socket, not one of the 2 8-pin sockets.  The A. Aux button on the 9000 will call up the correct input, and you may add 'A, Aux' to the Beo4's 'List' as well.

You are trying to get sound from the TV to the Beosound, right?

Are you sure you have the right adaptor? If it has two pairs of phono plugs, I believe you should use the ones labelled OUT... If it only got one pair, try to connect it to an input on your TV, and play a CD... If you get sound on the TV, it's the wrong adaptor...

    5 pins or 7 pins don’t matter...
