B&O 4002

Recently picked up a B&O 4002 turntable. After putting on a new belt, I fired it up. The needle goes over to the edge of the record, and does not descend. I hear a click but the tone arm will not descend. Can anyone help on this problem. Snaggle.

Hi Snaggle, and welcome to Beoworld !

Your Beogram is in need of lubrication to the lift/lower mechanics. Do a search in this forum and you will find many threads regarding this. I also remember posting a photo once.
