Alex Cavallo (Bang and Olufsen employee)

I am a long time reader on this forum but first time poster. However, I want to give a huge congratulations to Alex. According to CNN this afternoon, he was the first one to get the iPhone 3g in the United States. I thought that I recognized that name and sure enough he sold us our stereo and speakers. He is a great person and I am glad that he was first!

As a side note, does this mean that the Serene is now considered a failure?

Lets all hope he stays at B&O because he has excellent customer service!

    >>Alex Cavallo, 24, was one of hundreds lined up at the Fifth Avenue store, just as he had been a year ago for the original iPhone. He sold that one recently on eBay in anticipation of the new one. In the meantime, he has been using another phone, which felt "uncomfortable."<<

Dude, lets just hope that other phone wasn't the Serene ......; Enjoy your 3G ... I am jealous but will hae to wait for the blackberry bold on tmobile ,.....

Somehow I see a lot of Serenes pop up for sale ,.......about what price is the Iphone 3 G ?    Looks like alot of people are counting there losses and think well if its enough to swap for the Iphone Ill go for it. I think its obvious why posted the question  about the inhouse possibility for the Serene,......

The news story about Alex is more than CNN.  A google search comes up with Alex in several news sources.

I have had an iPhone for a year and use it all the time.  I also have a Serene that I purchased in France.  I have thought about selling it but every time I look at it, I change my mind.  I don't think the Serene phone is a failure.  Its just not as useful as other phones.  As you can see, I have a severe case of the B&O disease.

The Serene is a great dress phone for the evenings, when you want a light and elegant phone that doesn't bulk up your pockets.

During the day, I use multi-task phones that are too bulky for evenings and formal occasions.

Thanks Soundproof!   The Serene phone will reenter active service as my dress phone.

Re: Alex Cavallo (Bang and Olufsen employee)

I've actually gotten a number of texts, emails and calls about this ...funny thing is?

I wasn't able to procure an iPhone on launch day.  AT&T screwed up my account at some point and had me listed as a business account and nobody was able to figure this out until I tried a second time to get it. I was so set on getting this thing I even tried my luck again at the King of Prussia mall outside of Philadelphia to only be denied again.

I am utterly dissapointed in both companies.  They took a perfectly working system with the way that the 1st gen iPhone was activatd and sold and botched it all up in the name of greed.  To think I was actually excited about the launch of this product.  Now they'll be lucky if I buy one at all (let alone the 3 I was planning on getting for all of the qualified lines on my account on Friday)

This is why Alex is so successful. It is another ploy to sell more Serenes. How can he sell more Serenes if he personally has the iPhone?

Alex has the best customer service that I have ever encountered and I highly recommend him!
