    Confused [*-)] BeoLab 5 Materials

    Hey Guys,

I'm currently doing a case study for college on the BeoLab 5 loudspeaker system and have found most of the information around the internet but can't for the life of me find out what the actual systems themselves are made from!

Obviously the BeoLab 5 uses aluminium for the symbol type parts on the top but I can't find anything else regarding the rest of the loudspeaker. Hopefully I'll be able to go to a showroom soon to have a look at it in real life but for now I was wondering if anyone could hazard a guess as to what they are made from? :-) (Yes I have emailed B&O but couldn't give information because they recieve "so many requests" lol)

     Cheers guys,

    Beaver

The body is made from a sonically inert plastic. Very effective and tough. B&O have been using this material for years - the Pentas are also made of it with a thin metal skin covering it.

Wow thanks a lot! Thats already more than I've found anywhere else regarding the materials! Don't suppose you know anything more specific about what plastic or thin metal?
