    Beo 4 Cinema

What does the CINEMA button control? I am assuming it just activates the back light, am I correct?

It's a setting that closes your doors and windows, drops down a projector and dims your lights etc etc as far as i'm aware.

I won't ever be wealthy enough to find that out though.. Laughing

No, backlight is activated by a little sensor inside the Beo4. You can hear it if you shake the remote.

Cinema activates cinema view in BV7/9, BS3, which means close the screen, turn the stand to audio-position, activate SPEAKER 5 mode...

If you have a cinema control module it closes two contacts (which can close doors, windows, curtains, activate popcorn machines....)

You can configure that in cinema timings menu.

It`s the same as pressing  FORMAT 0 on Beo 4 or CINEMA on Beo 5.

According to the manual, one can use the CONTROL button (List)
to control specific functions in the background.

not to forget it steals the direct record functionality from the Beo 4 ...

I love my Beo 4 Cinema for the backlight - but hate the identically named button for - what I believe is of no usability to most of us.

Just bought the last one at my dealer a minute ago....not sure how long my current one will last, so I have a spare one now.

To be honest - I don't know excactly....but I have  roughly 400 Euros in mind. The one I will get is unused (no batteries were ever loaded) but was on display some where in the shop.
