    Need advice on beovision 8-32

Hey, I'm going to be buying a beovision 8-32 and I shall be using it with my apple tv, playstation 3 and my HD set top box, the way I plan to configure it will be.

    AppleTV > Component

    PS3 > HDMI

But what can I do with my HD set top box? Would It work if I bought a HDMI to DVI to VGA adaptor, I know It has a VGA port that will be unused otherwise.

I would appreciate some help please!

An 'HD fury' will do what you need, convert the HDMI or DVI signal to VGA. I've heard of people using these fine on PS3's, but there is no reason that it wouldn't work on your STB.

    Cheers,

The idea with the VGA is interesting. Does anyone know what resolution that input can handle? Is it a true HD like third input? Is not a cheap option though.

Just looked it up, it does support 1080p on the device but the BV8 is 1080i

I would actually use a Component/VGA adapter for the Apple TV.  Keep in mind you will also need to use a scart adapters to bring audio to the Component input.  Since the BV8 is limited to only controlling 2 stbs I would skip trying to control the PS3, but if you really would like to control that as a blu ray player and don't mind having a third remote either for your Cable Box or your Apple TV, Sony makes an IR receiver (haven't tried it yet) as well as a company called Nyko (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000R5H7KE).  Both of these will work with the Playstation 3 codes in the PUC for BeoSystem 3 and BV8 and they work great!

    Good luck!

That's a huge shame that it only supports 2 stbs =[
