    ml/mcl converter

    hi all,

read in the product section about the above item...

that it could control up to (4) rooms w/ passives. does that mean that i would have volume control using a mcl2a (which you normally wouldn't)

    i.e. i was picturing...

master --> mcl2av+mcl2p in each passive link room

     vs.

master --> ml/mcl converter+mcl2a in the first passive room and then just an mcl2a in each additional passive room

sorry, i have been studying link setups for some time now -and frankly -i need a break.

    thanks in advance,

    Re: ml/mcl converter

All volume control is done by the MCL/ML or the MCL-2P.

    So the answer would be:

Separate volume control in each room

    vs.

The same volume in all link rooms

    referring to your post.

    Living room: BV7-40 mkIV + V8000, BL5, BL3, BM1 and BS9000. Bedroom: MX3000 and BL4500 on MCL2-AV. Re: ml/mcl converter

    makes perfect sense, thx!

honestly, i have become so absorbed in all this "linking" -sometimes i just get bewildered.

at any rate, i see little need to change the downstream layout. the ml/mcl converter will simply allow the bs9000 to replace a bm4500 in a mcl network as i see it.

    i'll leave the rest alone.

    thx!
