can anyone help me out with my beovision mx5000

hi i recently got a beovision mx 5000 and i've been trying to figure out how to set up a dvd player using the standard rca cables and cant seem to get anything. i managed to get cable running but cant figure out how to setup anything else. any help is hugely appreciated.

assuming you are using a dvd1... while you will get output using the rca connections, you will not have any control w/o using the scart connection. all remote functions are passed thru the mx via scart to the dvd player.
