You best bet if no one here has a spare is to buy a scrap 9000. They sometimes go for not much money.
Just as an aside and to give you some idea of what you should pay, when the spare cap and spring were available they cost £30!!!!
Regards Graham
Thanks Joey -- I appreciate the input. I was afraid I might need to buy a scrap 9000. I will look for one.
Sarah,
I am looking for the lower control faceplate (glass) for my 9000 that fell off and shattered during transport . If you do find a scrap unit, I will help you with the cost by purchasing this part from you. I might be also interested in purchasing the plastic frames that go around both the upper and lower glass plates as well.

Just realized I have a 9500 instead of a 9000. Sorry.

I think the glass panels are the same for both of these units in any case - Graham (Joeyboygolf) will either confirm or dispound this. Either way I'm fairly sure it will do the job.
Chris.
The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

Quite correct, they are the identical.
You can still get the 9300 version from B&O complete with plastic fixed on. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference unless you are a tape noise reduction guru.
Ric et al --
I will be more than happy to share a scrap unit if I am able to find one.
