You'll see a pair on the shelf here, under the Helicopter, from Andy's visit to B&O.

Frede Kristensen showed them to me, and told me these were very early dispersion "lenses" for the upper sound frequencies, with small drivers aiming at cones that would spread the sound. Very nifty, and actually a precursor to the acoustic lens principle.

This is what they look like behind the cover. Two opposing drivers at either end, with the dispersion lens in the middle, reflecting the sound from each driver. The second photo is one Peter dug out:

.... Mr Anderson, I've known about this speaker's existence since December 1994, when I first saw a picture of them. I think it was called Højtonerundspreder in Danish. I never forgot them and when their was a thread about B&O's se*iest speakers I had to include them on my list. To answer your question: I believe they are very rare.... Until now I never saw them for real. Must pay Frede a visit sometime....

Have you got these, Anders?????? They belong in a museum, .........in Clitheroe!
I think they are about as common as rocking horse crap. B&O's first venture into Acoustic Lens Technology I believe.

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
