    Beolab 2 to my Mac

    Hi

I need a bit of help connecting my beolab 2 subwoofer to my mac. I have spoken to the Tech guys at B&O and they arent sure how to do it.

I want to connect the beolab-2 to the computer and then connect my beolab 3s to that.

Please/Please could someone give me advice

    Regards

The easy way to do it, and the way I have my BL3s connected to my PowerMac, is to use a Beoport. This allows you to control the music by remote, also allows you to link the computer music to any other B&O you have in the house and has a Powerlink socket so that you simply connect that to your BL2 and then connect the BL3s to that.

Otherwise it will be making up a lead - stereo minijack to Powerlink. I take it the problem is the switching voltage.

Looking at the service manual, greater than 0.5V is on, less than 0.5V is off, on Pin 4.

Maybe you can use the 5v from the USB, that way the bl2 is only on when your computer is on...

If you mean you cannot use BeoPort for DVDs and Videos on your mac, this is not true.

BeoPort takes whatever audio the Mac sends it.
