  • Re: Connecting Pentas with Speakerlink

Yes, I switched both panels to Auto and turned on the system. Both of the Pentas were green until I went from standby to playing a CD. At that point, one went red, and the other remained green and played. I have the Input level switch set at I. I reversed the cables into the receiver and still the same problem occured. Aaron

  • Connecting Pentas with Speakerlink

Hi everyone, I have a pair of Penta IIs that I am trying to connect to a Beomaster 6500 with 4-pin Speakerlink cables and I am having problems. When they are connected as a pair, the displays light up on both speakers, but one speaker always remains in standby (red light on amp). When connected individually, each speaker works fine, but for some reason

  • Remote Mains Switch

Hello all, I have a Remote Mains Switch that I am contemplating using with my Beosystem 6500. I am considering adding an equalizer to the system. Can the remote switch be used to activate an equalizer? If so, where on the Beosystem 6500 would the device get connected? Thanks, Aaron

  • Re: Parting out Pentas?

Thanks for your reply, Mika. Just this morning I found some reasonably priced Penta woofers on U.S. ebay that I have purchased. So, I will fix the Pentas up and sell them as-is. I really did hate the thought of having to part out such fine speakers! Aaron

  • Parting out Pentas?

Hi all, Hoping you can help me out with my dilemma. I recently purchased a pair of Penta IIs in need of attention. One speaker has two damaged bass drivers. After doing a little research, it looks as though a new pair of drivers from B&O will cost me about $225 US. I wasn't planning on keeping them as they came with other B&O pieces that

  • Penta bass drivers

Hello all, I just purchased a full Beosystem 6500 that included a pair of Beolab Pentas that need some work. On one speaker, two of the lower bass drivers are shot. I think the voice coils are damaged. I called a B&O Service Center and was quoted $98 US per driver plus shipping. Right now, I don't care to spend that amount on new units before

  • Re: M100 bass driver

Listening to the buzzing, it really sounds as though it is coming from the driver itself. I made sure that there were no wires or anything near the driver that could cause vibration within the cabinet when I reinstalled the unit back in place. I was initially thinking myself that the drive coil wasn't exactly centered. I have read that this can

Are you stating that they still produce the exact same driver available to purchase?
