  • Keracolor project

Hi: I was just wondering if there was anyone in the B&O community who would be able to advise as to the fesability of taking a B&O tube/chasis from a donor MX or like set and transplanting it into a Keracolor cabinet and whether there is anyone on this site that would be prepared to quote for and undertake this task if the oppertunity arose

  • Avant on eBay with broken screen

Dear all: There is a DVD Avant on eBay presently with a broken contrast screen. I have an older type Avant from 96 - would I be able to transfer the screen from this and put it on the newer one for sale on eBay or are they different parts? Thanks Graham

  • Funny ebay advert - please delete if already posted

Hi all: Whilst scouring ebay for B&O here I cam accross this listing. Reading through it is quite funny: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bang-Olufsen-Beovision-LX-2502-Television-/320670640437?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Televisions&hash=item4aa975a935#ht_962wt_938 Graham

  • Re: Annoying word of 2010

I have quite a few to add: Going forwards/Going forward. As in going forwards we shall do some work instead of sitting in this meeting room saying ridiculous things such as going forwards. Skillsets - I fail to see how one can compartmentalise their skills into sets, this is therefore totally unnecessary in my opinion. Not fit for purpose - Gordon Brown

  • Re: Why do Loewe and B&O get compared side by side?

Hi all: I guess there maybe a little bit of bias on my part - I would feel somewhat disappointed if having spent lots of money on equipment that I thought was near perfect I was to find something cheaper that was better for a number of reasons - style/functionality etc. However, the Loewe I saw both in this charity shop (I agree not the best of settings

  • Why do Loewe and B&O get compared side by side?

Hi all: Guess this could be the start of an opinion thread more than a fact establishing one. However, having seen a Loewe CRT "in the plastic" today by chance in a charity shop window I am very surprised that the uninitiated or those that wish to speak unfavourably about B&O band these brands together. I could have easily mistaken the

  • Sky HD and Beo 4

Hi all: Apologies if this has been covered before. However, not being familiar with this aspect of B&O/Beo4 I would like to get the following clarified: I would like to control my Sky HD service (latest Amstrad box) with the Beo 4. In a typically *** upwards scenario for which I am famous the Sky Box is not connected directly to either my 96 Avant

  • Re: When did the high-def era really start?

Hi guys: Thanks for the information - the wikipedia article was quite interesting too. Think I will connect my xbox to the projector using this type f cable anyway and see what results I get. Thanks Graham

  • When did the high-def era really start?

HI all: This is another question relating to my recently acquired CRT projector. When looking through the manual I noticed that there are composite inputs (not RCA) not the red, yellow, white combination (the distinction is for myself, I am easily confused) but the other type that are not found too often. I googled these and found out that these can

  • Re: Ice power rave review

Hi: Yes, I remember in '93 my primary school teacher had a Seat Ibiza - the boxy pre Volkswagen one and that had "tuned by Systeme Porsche" or something similar emblazoned all over the rear window. Even at that young age I thought this was rubbish! Are companies still making such tenious claims? Graham
