  • Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?

My last remark about FM/DAB: I see that the situation in the UK is completely different from the rest of the world. For the rest of the world FM transmitting remains easy accesable and available, now and in the far future. CD's, as comparison, will sooner be extinct than FM broadcast...

@Moxxey: 'FM is due to be switched off in the near future' that is, with all respect, complete nonsense. Talking about the situation on mainland Europe, where the majority of people live, not in the UK, FM is, and for a very long time will be the way people listen to 'the radio'. Also, it's the only way you can listen to radiostations

The Beosound 3 is equiped with a magnificent feature; FM-radio, which is available everywhere and very easy to use, and you don't need to bring a digital music-device witrh you like an iPhone...

  • Re: BeoSound 5/ BeoMaster5 - New Software & Ripping Station available

I thought it was a joke, but it seems to be for real.. Regarding the relative thickness of the Beosound 5 itself, why wasn't there a CD-drive build in in the first place? Every laptop PC has got one build-in. (same question comes to my mind when seeing a B&o television; my iMac is a HD-television and a computer and has a DVD-drive build in,

  • Re: B&O SELLS 50,000 BS8 IN ITS FIRST YEAR!

Well done, especially when one considers that most people don't even know of it's existence because of poor marketing. It isn't sold in the online Apple-store. A missed chance. Should be advertised with it a lot more.

  • Re: BL9: Speaker adjustment

Strange to see that the opions on the Lab 9 are so diverse; most seem to praise them, but there are some that have a completely different opinion. Seems to be 2 sides, with nothing in between them; love or hate. I read about 'missing midrange', 'too much treble', 'sounding cold'. How is it possible that the other ALT-speakers

  • Re: Beolab 3 vs Beolab 9

i must say that I also think that the 9's are not the most beautiful design, but in the end it's the sound that matters most for me. I prefer classical music, and acoustic music. Both have the same tweeter I think? So the difference must be in the midrange/woofer?

  • Beolab 3 vs Beolab 9

I think about getting a Beolab 11 to match the 3's. Is that a wise descision, or should a pay a little more and get a second hand pair of Beolab 9's? The price is not that far away. (if you consider the value of the beolab 3's and 11 together). The Beolab 9 seems like a 3 with a bigger subwoofer?

  • Beolab 4000 vs Beolab 3 vs beolab 8000

At the risk of starting a discussion that has been started before, I was in the shop yesterday, comparing the above mentioned speakers, and the much admired 4000's did dissapoint me, they sounded "muffled" somehow, the 3's sounded much more transparend, but I still think, as also mentioned before in some other post, the lack a bit

  • Re: Beolab 5 are they really that good

In another recent tread I questioned the midrange of the beolab 3's, and mr moulton gave a very informative answer. They're great speakers but there're remains the lack of midrange which is a result of the chosen crossover-frequencies if I remember right. They surely surprise for their size. Remains the question if a similar choice has been
