What speakers will you be running?
Well, it was initially between the Beovox CX50s and a pair of Goodmans Maxims, but in the end I decided on MS150.2s!

Apologies for the thread hijack and the blatant plug, but my complete Beosystem 8000 will be playing at the Hi-Fi Wigwam Scalford Hall show on March 4th in Melton Mowbray if anyone's interested. (well, it will be as soon as I service the Beogram!) Details here: http://www.thehifishow.com/

Congratulations on a fine purchase, although it does make me wonder about eBay sometimes, as I see you paid £74 for the M150s in need of re-foaming. Nothing wrong with this, by the way - I consider that a decent price for a very fine pair of loudspeakers. The strange thing is, though, that I sold my M150s only a week or so ago on eBay - both woofers

Very sad news. I was privileged enough to interview him for the B&O magazine and website a few years back on the occasion of the Beolab 8000's 25th birthday and found him to be a warm, intelligent and witty character. From the sleek design to the nice design touches (like the mirror on the footplate, which gives the speakers the illusion of being round, while in fact they're a bit flat), I've

Glad to see Geoff is still weaving his magic! I met him when I visited Struer in 2007 with Hi-Fi World and frankly, I could have sat and chatted to him all day. Truly a friendly, intelligent and approachable individual.

Am I the only one who hasn't got the faintest idea what this thread is about?!

I'm glad there are some others who like the A8s - I have three pairs and would never want to be without them! I truly detest any earphones that have to be shoved into the ear as not only do I find them hideously uncomfortable, I find that they usually fall out unless I keep my head perfectly still. The A8s are comfortable and sound great - I admit

I must admit I was sorely tempted, but the long drive to collect them put me off in the end.
