As far as 3D, you will have to have an updated BS3 with HDMI out to take advantage of 3D, period at this point. I don't beleive DVI will carr y 3D so that would be the reason wh y it is onl y HDMI(v1.4) now. pure speculation though :)
I hope it will be possible to update my old BeoSystem 3 (MKI - I think

  • Re: Any point in holding on to my BeoSystem 3

I know that there are a lot of BeoSystem 3 owners on beoworld.org - also a lot with non-b&o displays configured. Are there anyone who has some more input on the issues listed below? 1080p/24f possible on BS3 MKI? HDMI/Video signal passthrough? e.g for 3D signals? could B&O make this possible through a SW update? (if they wanted to) Are there
I don't think there is a way to connect the tv how you want without B&O modifying the picture. The bs3 is still a fantastic processor though. Why not use it just for sound? Let the tv processor do its thing and use the bs3 for surround processing? You about be able to do all of that pretty easily with a beo6.

  • Any point in holding on to my BeoSystem 3

I've had a BeoSystem 3 hidden in a box for a while now and I am not sure if I should sell it or actually try to use it. I have a older non-professional panny panel but want to buy a new panny VT30 or the next model. My problem with my BS3 is that I am not sure if it can keep up with technology surrounding it. My B&O components are: BeoSystem

  • Re: I gave up my B&O receiver (Beosystem) for an Onkyo!

I would actually consider selling my BeoSystem 3 if we get a few more features on this non-b&o setup. - I want control of peripherals (STB), does these receivers come with IR blasters or how do they control blu-ray players, dvb-c tuners, playstation 3, etc?? - I want only one remote - and preferably an se*y iphone app to control IT ALL - And what

  • Re: NeoPDP, BV4 and BeoSystem 3

I dont have a TH-50PF20 and was only wondering how it would work with my BeoSystem 3. I did have a PF11 but I never got the setup working with the RS232 before the TV broke (accident), and I have not bought the PF20 yet. I want to buy the PF20 but being NeoPDP and the fact that BS3 software being very special - maybe it wont be a good match. The BS3

  • NeoPDP, BV4 and BeoSystem 3

As far as I know the Beovision 4 is not a NeoPDP panel, but are there any plans to update the BV4 line with NeoPDP displays. I am thinking of buying the Panasonic TH50PF20 which is a NeoPDP panel but I am unsure what my BeoSystem 3 would say to that. Since the BV4 uses the TH50PF10 and 11 panels I would hope the PF20 would be compatible with the BS3

  • Re: NEW BEOSOUND 5 for IPAD

The BS5 UI would look great on an iPad, but people tend to forget the deficiencies of the BeoMaster 5 as your one-and-only media center. Until B&O get that part right (with full support for iTunes, NAS, HD/SD Video, and others) this BS5 UI on iPad is imho waste of time.
