  • Re: The Audiophile & B&O

Jeff Rowland did something similar when he got criticized for using ICEpower in his amps.

  • Re: Beogram 8000 Beomaster 6500?

My friend has an external RIAA. He has it connected to AUX now, but I suddenly thought it moght be possible to connect the Bg8000 directly, but remembered something about the Bg8000 not having the internal RIAA that's in the Beogram 6500. Thanks.

  • Beogram 8000 Beomaster 6500?

A friend has a Bg8000 and wonders if his Beomaster 6500 can control it through the Phono-DIN. He doesn't want to connect the unit before I've checked here for him (having already fritzed a Sugden amp, he's become wary). Anyone know? Is it safe? Does the Bg8000 have RIAA built in?

  • Re: B&O ST/P 12 inch tonearm.

Congratulations with your find. I was fortunate enough to find one of those tonearms last year, and have also used it with a Beogram 3000/TD124-II. Very wide and pleasant soundstage with a regular elliptical stylus that Schallplattennadeln in Germany made for me. I then got some problems with the SP1 and am trying to get it sorted out now. Looking forward

  • Re: The 'Dark Side'.....

I've added a Technics 1506 Reel-to-Reel player to my setup. Works excellently together with the Beolab 5000. I've also placed a Revelation M phono-stage from Graham Slee between my Beogram 3000 and the Beolab 5000. The Revelation M has different EQ-curves, in addition to RIAA, which I can use when listening to records from the 50s, made without

  • Re: Apple really wants to be like B&O!!!

I would say that Apple/Jobs has been very aware of B&O, and that they have copied many facets of the core business idea behind B&O, in orienting themselves towards premium price purchasers within the segment. Jobs has owned several B&O stereo systems, and towards the end of his life enjoyed giving the BeoSound 8 as gifts, those he didn't

  • Re: Unpacking Beolab 5

Poor Maab. He buys a pair of nice speakers, looks forward to using them, doesn't want to do anything wrong in setting them up, and gets hit by an avalanche of derision by KOS, starting from post nr. 1 from him. Congratulations with your new speakers, Maab. Hope you're enjoying them.
