  • Re: BM5 and backup

I do the backup on a different way : ths BM5 disk is mounted on my Mac OS as a drive via beoconnect. The mac is backed up via crashplan in the cloud. Sofware is running in the background so i do not have to do anything for the backup. This type of cloud backup is block level based and everything is de-dup-ed. This means backup is fast, only the first

  • Re: BS5 supports Apple Lossless

No idea why it is working for some ... maybe someone installed an extra codec on the bm5, or is Twonky making a difference ? Carolpa said earlier in a post : "There is probably a difference with the most other users. I use Twonky 7.01 on a Ubuntu server (and not the 6.0.3x version)! For the insider; Twonky doesn't transcode the Apple Lossless

This is why I think you can read the tags of an ALAC (apple lossless) file but can not play it on the BS5 : Both AAC and ALAC formats are stored in an mp4 container file. • Re: Does anyone control central hearing boiler via beo5/6 or iPhone?

I use a Domintell system as a central home control system. It has an iphone app so I can control almost everything in my home when I'm on a remote location. This is kind of a hobby for me to automate everything in the house. (and make if woman friendly ;-)) but if you only want to modify temperature settings via an iphone than this could be interesting
  • Re: No valid configuration!

The beo6 is brand new ! only 1 week old, worked OK for 1 week. I did several modifications to the config during that week The strange thing is that I had exactly the same problem with another beo6... It worked for a couple of days, and than exactly the same problem after writing new config ... So I went back to the dealer and received a new one (they
  • Re: No valid configuration!

thanks, but why would i need that version ? anyway i have both 4.11 and 5.12 running on differenet systems and the problem is identical, beo6 is not recognised (it was in the beginning, I have also a beo5 wich is recognised without any problem), so there should be no problem on the computer. the beo6 was during the whole night on the charger but no
  • Re: No valid configuration!

I have similar (strange) problems with beo6 I tried to upload a new configuration and now it does not respond anymore ... It worked for a week, but when updating with some minor changes if goes completely off line There is no text showing on the display, only the backlight goes on for a fews seconds. As soon as i put it on the charger the backlight
