Martin, I've seen your pictures an they look worse! What do you think these kind of people would handle when using the shimming method. They should keep their hands off refoaming at all!
Yes. As said, not all people are cut out for DIY. Some are definitely NOT. Only last week, an owner told me "The screwdriver

Leslie is very skilled in many ways and I admire most of his work. I do agree with Chris, though, in that shim'ing is an absolute must when refoam'ing woofers. Just as important as using the right glue and keeping the workspace clean. Leslie is either very skilled or just plain lucky - or both. It's a fact that some people are better cut

Dear Beoworlders, For certain members on Beoworld, namely the ones with a high post count (like me), posting in the Beoworld forum has become quite difficult and troublesome. The problem is that whenever a post has been written and the Post button is clicked, the forum server goes into orbit. The poster has to wait until the server times out and the
I will await delivery of the belts I ordered (Indeed on ebay) and use them to check the motor's moving and geting other parts working. If this will look OK I might as well order correct belts from you instead, just to make sure. How is that? But in the meantime.... the instructions? Aad
Please read the second

And both of these chassis confirm that neither of the Beolits in my resto thread had the original capacitor. It should be a block dry (paper/wax) capacitor rather than an electrolyte. Martin

Oh yes, now I see the reason for your embarassment. You have a PM. What worries me more than the instructions is if the belts you bought really are suitable for your Beocord. I have a bunch of motors lying here dead from running with too tight belts. They are mainly from 8000 series decks but there are some 2000/3300/5000's between as well. Twelve

The two ceramic resistors at the dial lamp socket are not original. I'm sure, they were introduced in the valve heater series chain to compensate for the voltage difference from the original CCH2 frontend valve to the ECH3. Can they be calculated to apprx 115-120 Ohms ? I did something similar in my restoration thread (as I'm sure, you already

Different colors of wire was used in the Beolit 39 so, even if there's not a lot of wires in there, to answer your question you will have to be a little more specific as to where. Can't you tell the original colors from the remaining pieces of insulation ? I suggest you use a type of wire that will stand the heat among the valves and power resistors

Welcome to Beoworld ! Yes, printed instructions with photos and text can be included with the new belts. You are always welcome to contact me if you run into problems, whether or not I can help you is a different matter. If I can, I will. Martin
