They are about 8 years old. Almost looks like a power issue.
-
When conncted to power plug the red indicator light comes on. However when the audio signal source is switched on the red light would normally changed to green after sensing the signal. This is not happenng now for one speaker. I swapped powerlink and power cord, thus suggesting sonething wroung in speaker instead of cables as the other speaker works
-
I am sure its not source. Its the speaker and if i power off and cold start after a long break the humm is gone but as the speaker runs for a while the humm comes back with random static sounds so often. Looks like a power issue

Any recommendations on finding a repair center to fix some power supply related issue with my beolab 4000. Causing some hummm and static. I am in detroit area visting for weekend. There are none in the area where i live in charleston,wv. So hoping to get it fixed in detroit if possible over weekend. Thanks

Are the floor stands for Beosound 1 and Beosound 4000 compatible for each other?
-
The humm is constant - more audible with no audio signal and power on. I guess while playing music the hummmm is supressed. Is it a simple fix to replace the power unit - the transformer i guess

One of my BL4000 is making a loud hummm when powered on. I coudl eliminate following by trial and error 1. Powerlink Cable is fine 2. Source is fine - AUX input from BS4000

May be today is my lucky day?
