Hello all. Haven't posted for awhile and I'm back! We all know that a Beolab 2 will not work in a non B&O application because it has no in-line feature. In order to turn on a Beolab 2 from a non B&O source, there is an adaptor made by B&O which uses a transformer to feeds 6 volts into it to power it on. I hate the transformer because
Kevin... Thx for the fast response... I have a few 400x's sitting around and I have -zero- time! I was considering sending (delivering) them to Benny to have them rehab'd as he is only ~4 hours from me... where I was mentally drawing the line was w/ the cutting/shortening of the cartridge arm, but if the results
Kevin, Now that you've had the Amina TT for a few months... any further thoughts on it? Thx!
I am quite happy with it. One of the best things I've done. If you've listened to a Grado cartridge, there is a lot of substance and punch to it. Granted my setup is not proprietal - the turntable goes into
Hi Kevin I noticed you recently replaced a 800x series turntable with this 4002. How did that compare with the Grado conversion on your 4002? I had a good MMC2 on my 8002 and that took some beating, so it would be interesting to hear what you think the difference is between the decks and proprietary/non-proprietary

Hi Kokomo. It sort of evolved. First came the 9000 on the false wall. It looked very blank underneath so I added the train which my nephews played with. btw, the caboose says B&O. We had a B&O railroad here. The glass/TT setup, I had for awhile, so I thought it would be nice to put it under the 9000 setup. The TT is heavy so it takes 2 elephants

I bought this from a fellow named Benny from Amina Audio in Georgia. I think its a great retro-fit so now I have my tangent tracking turntable along with my favorate cartridge. Among other things, the circuit board was completely washed and rebuilt and it looks like a work of art. I'm also happy with the cosmetics. Sounds awesome! I bought it from

I'm really admiring this! You're complete 4500 is flawless! A great combination of system and speakers
I guess that'll be a pain to polish! Are the Labs going to be on the wall anytime soon? Kevin: I really like your setup. Great combination of old and new. Is that

I have 2 vintage Garrard turntables. The first one is the Type A (1959) and the other is the Lab 80MkII ('60s) I collected turntables for awhile. I also have a Dual 1229 and a 1019.

A very kind fellow from Georgia
That would be Benny! Great guy! I am looking fwd to a review from you as I am considering sending him some table(s) for the same work.
What a small planet we live on, now that we have the internet!

I bought a 4002 that has been retro-fitted with a Grado Gold cartridge. A very kind fellow from Georgia does the conversion. I find the Grado is much smoother and 'punchy' than the MMC or Soundsmith cartridges. It is being shipped to me right now. I'll post pictures soon. http://www.aminaaudio.com/phono.html
