• BeoLab 5 speaker / tweeter blown

Just came home today to notice a slight buzzing from one of our BL5s and noticed it was the top speaker. Has anyone else had this ? I tried to do a search on the forum but had no luck. Is this part expensive to replace ? I imagine it's mostly the labor cost of the repair ? Any help appreciated. thanks L

  • Re: What do I need to create a fully integrated beo-apartment?

Looked at doing this as we were designing the interior of our apartment from scratch. Just the cabling to have our sound system wired throughout the house was 20 000 CHF(17 000 Euro).... the additional MLGW with iPhone App as we wanted was another 20k.... but I guess it really depends what system you use. It would have been a nice toy but probably not

  • Re: Unpacking Beolab 5

Hey Maab, would love to see the final set up pics if you care to post. Sorry your thread seems to have been a bit derailed. Hoping the other discussion will be taken offline or to PM now so that we can continue on your thread- I have the same speakers at home, they are truly a pleasure to listen to as well as look at.
Already getting tired with carrying stuff up to the 4th floor. Can I stop here, please?
Looks perfectly minimalist to me.

  • Re: Beovision 4 - 65 replica can any one help me.

Just a feeling that the BeoVision 4 screen is perhaps not much more than a Panasonic screen with a B&O frame stuck on it and with a huge markup.
Now that would be morally questionable!
Kinda my feeling as well. B&O should just sell the frame piece for the cost
And finally this thread is back on track as it started!!! Showing great equipment instead of showing off!!
I didn't think anyone was showing off. I love looking at this thread and seeing people's set ups and equipment. It's great for getting (stealing) new ideas.
BTW, what is the brand of the furniture/shelves in your bathroom, Thanks in advance.
Hey GuyHui, The shelf is B&B Italia. Designer was Naoto Fukasawa, it's from 2005 and was a limited edition... but I still managed to order one. So maybe they didn't all sell. I just love anything made out of Corian
I can't make up my mind on whether I like retro or modern better! I guess I'll have to settle for both
I totally agree....

  • Re: Flash your B&O!
I would give the front speakers a little more space to breathe
I originally wanted the speakers to sit further forward and even have the holes in the floor further toward the lounge but B&O put the speakers there... I'm not even sure I can move them now as the speaker cable has exactly the right length
