• Re: New to B&O
Clakke, I'm surprised you say that no cables have made a difference to the sound in your experience as I have defo had a big improvement when changing cables on my speakers, although not in a B & O set up.
Hi I wrote that I did not heard anything interesting . Meaning that I sometimes heard something
Hi Guy, Never go shopping sober......lol lol, brilliant. I normally go high ( only kidding ) Ok in my quest to sort things I raised the speakers to ear level (Jeff) and the difference was much improved. The Treble was better but still has a brittely / abrasive sound but defiantly better. The Bass was much less muddled
Maybe we will get some more information from guys using/have used both speakers (BL4000 vs BL3) regarding the difference. Every day I see my polished BL4000 (placed as rear speaker behind my sofa), I say to myself what a beautuful speaker it is, but always ask myself if the BL3 would deliver a much better sound. [/quote

  • Re: New to B&O

Hi I see. Well I have listened to BL 4 and from my memory of that session was that I doubted they would beat my iMac in sound performance. BL 3 are about the same in size, but the sound... Show your wife BL 3. Clakke
Thanks for all the replys so far. Jeff, Yes definately as in the original post they are on the floor on a temp basis but wall / bookshelf is a good suggestion as this I suppose that is what their designed for. Would I be right in saying that stands will reduce Bass if not positioned near a wall? I live in Paisley

Hi Welcome to the forum. I know people here like the BL4000 a lot. When I bought B&O, I already had other HiFi kit at home. I listened to BL 4000 and simply did not think it was up to the price tag at all compared to other manufacturers speakers. I did not find anything interesting among the B&O speakers below BL 3. On the other hand, they were

  • Master link Gateway and receiver

Hi Is it possible to get the MLGW to control third party receivers, like H/K, Pioneer e t c? Or is it just some third party devices that can be controlled? It is not worth the money for me to just be able to control B&O units but if it can control the home cinema equipment, it will be a different matter. B R Clakke

  • Re: Beocom 5 quality in general
Hi The purchase of a phone has been delayed for us. We will probably not buy anything for a month or two. How does it look for Beocom 5 now? is it still awful. B R Clakke
Hello again Some time ago I wrote in this thread. After we had tried all of the B&O phones, we finally bought the Beocom 6000. We did like

  • Re: Beosound 8 review

Hi For those of you that is interested, there is a review in a swedish magazine: http://www.bildochljud.se/test/beosound-8 Unfortunately, it is in swedish. I suppose you could use some translator. Anyway, they liked it. A part from the good sound, they really liked the usb and the possibility to use it as a computer speaker. They thought that B&O
