  • Re: B&O UK closed?

My new dealer has just informed me that any new products I order will take 4 - 6 weeks instead of the usual 7 - 10 day's. A pain for me but a real worry to the dealer. Does anyone know if this is across all the UK and if it's because B&O have REALLY slowed down production ? He also mentioned that B&O had called an emergency meeting.

Quick update... My new (local !?!) dealer expressed his own worries to me when I introduced myself this week. He tell's me that all B&O's UK sales rep's have just been made redundant. This is another big worry, more so to the dealer, and I cant see how such wholesale dessimation of the UK network is anything other than a sure sign of

  • Re: B&O UK closed?

I called B&O to ask about the situation and was told that my nearest dealer (now 80 miles away) would service my out of guarantee products "at his discretion" and any guarantee work may well need to be sent to Denmark. They did'nt seem sure of the in's and out's at all. It was suggested that as I bought my TV's from another

Yup, both Perth and Stirling closed. Not sure how this will affect the local customers as the next outlet is Glasgow...

  • Re: Have B&O gone mad with their prices?

Beobird's last paragraph say's it all. Yet B&O wont alter their view or product range, not for any reason other than they are too used to making a vast amount of profit on under spec'd over priced jewellery ! It's back fired on them. Back in the days, before the current management, when a TV was an Avant and a Hi-Fi was an Ouverture

Affineur said... I agree with your analysis as far as why "average" consumers do not buy B&O, but this is actually the point. B&O are not marketing to "average" consumers, they are marketing primarily to design-centric audio-video enthusiasts. Yes the "average" consumer who wants to put up a too big panel in their
