Hi all, I have a question about my beocenter 2500. When it has been unplugged from mains it displays -------- when turned on again. Checked the set up manual on site: after plugging in it should be 'ready to use'. Is this normal or a symptom of something? Also, it doesn't seem to catch stations when using automatic tuning. Might be bad reception

Unfortunately, although they do look the same, they don't use the same codes. B&O probably will not want to repair it, but a good/motivated repairman should be able to at least diagnose the fault and maybe repair it. There might be a forum member here who can too!

@Auric: could you maybe elaborate what the symptoms of the blown fuses were on your BC2500? Just the tuner malfunction or more trouble? I'm curious because I have an option on a (attractively priced) BC2500 with a tuner malfunction. @Berndt: sorry for interrupting your thread. I have a suggestion though: sounds a bit like a corroded interconnect

There is just one belt in the machine, doing the opening and closing of the lid. If I remember correctly it's next to a motor and some gears. That's the one!

Probably the belt needs changing. It will still look good but won't function anymore. The replacement belt I used was 46mm, 1.4mm. Dillen can probably supply one!

An external one is

Hi all, I have an option to buy a BC2500. Not expensive, but a problem is the tuner doesn't work right. Seller says the automatic search doesn't work OK. Can't find anything on the forum on this. Checked out the service manual, it says that in case of tuner trouble they advise to replace the entire tuner board. Are these tuners hard to fix

Pics of the wallmount system, for future reference: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/33237/274828.aspx

Please do post some scans, would be great for the beoworld archives!

From the dutch marketplace website: http://audio-tv-foto.marktplaats.nl/overige-audio-tv-en-foto/489555952-b-o-verslag-the-design-of-the-beovox-uni-phase-loudspeakers.html Probably an interesting read! A booklet by Subir Pramanik on the process of designing the uniphase loudspeakers. Might place a bid myself...
